FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Do you take walk-ins?
A: No.  All tattoo requests are by application only!

Q: How much do you charge for a medium size tattoo?
A: Not sure.  How much does a medium size car cost?

Q: What are your rates?
A: Each project is specific to the style of work.  Please apply online for an accurate quote.

Q: Do you do 3-D tattoos?
A: Jesus Christ, stop it!  Just stop!

Q: Can I get your phone number so I can text you my ideas?
A: Absolutely not!

Q: How long does it take to get an email response back from my application?
A: It all depends.  Typically you can expect a response within a week.  Due to high traffic in my emails it can take longer and sometimes up to a month or two.  Please be patient and only apply if you are inquiring about a serious project.

Q: Can I get a discount if I bring you sooooo many of my friends?
A: No.

Q: Why haven’t you answered my direct messages on social media?
A: Other than it clearly says in my bio “NO DM’s”, I try to centralize all requests to one area – my emails.  Anything more I wouldn’t be able to get to in a timely manner. I run 4 businesses, tattoo full time and rarely have time for social media.  You will only find my updated works at the only platforms I typically use for social media which is Instagram.

Q: What are the dimensions of your rings?
A: My rings are between 2.20mm -4.00mm in thickness, based on the diameter of the ring. The smaller the diameter, the thinner the ring. I also base the width of the ring on the size of the ring to keep the ring proportional. For example: a ring size 12 will have a wider band, while a size 5 will have a thinner one.

Q: How much do your rings weigh?
A: My rings vary by weight depending on the diameter. Most rings weigh between 2.5 – 4 grams depending on the materials used. I try to keep my rings super lightweight, so I tend to use materials that will achieve this.

Q: Are your rings vegan friendly?
A: No!… Just NO! As a matter of fact, Daniel has been known to use bacon grease instead of cutting oil for all of his rings!

Q: How do I know what my ring size is?
A: Go to your local jewelry store and have them size the finger that you want your ring for. DO NOT go to google and use some DIY method with pieces of paper or a ruler. This will most likely give you inaccurate results. I size these rings to spec. Most of the time this is done by fractions of a millimeter measurements, so please get your ring size as accurate as possible. I will NOT remake a ring for you at no cost if you are inaccurate with your ring size.

Q: What is the turn-around time for a ring?
A: Depending on the ring and materials available, any ring can take anywhere between 2 – 8 weeks. Typically, I have everything in stock at all times and ready to go, so rings usually take about two weeks to complete and ship. But once again this depends on how backed up my orders are, and what materials are needed.

Q: Do you give refunds?
A: ABSOLUTELY NOT! I custom make every single ring that is ordered specifically for the client purchasing it. If you decide that it’s “just not your color”, or it “doesn’t match the dress you’re wearing”, then you are out of luck. These are collector luxury rings, pieces of art; treat them as such. Under no circumstance will I ever issue a refund for any ring.

Q: Are your rings made from real human bones?
A: Yes. I only deal with real human bone collectors and dealers. All of my human bone rings come with a Certificate of Authenticity for your reference. If you feel the need to you can purchase a human bone ring, break it apart and DNA test the bone samples. Although I highly discourage that… You would be wasting a ton of money!

Q: Where do you get your bones and skulls from?
A: That is something I choose to NOT disclose. As an artist and ring maker that has worked for years on finding sources, financing material, solving stabilization methods and finally completing a world’s first product; I choose to keep this information to myself. I can however tell you that the bone specimens used in our rings are in fact true to their age, are real, are NOT cheap and all come from highly reputable sources.

Q: Are your human bone rings haunted?
A: Seriously? Ummmm… not to my knowledge.  Although, I do however take this into consideration for all that question this, and can comfort you into knowing that we package our rings with premium California White Sage ( True Salvia Apiana ) for a cleansed arrival. I also add a bit of sage element in every ring crafted.

Q: How long do the rings glow for?
A: Once fully charged, the ring will glow very brightly for 5-10 minutes. After that, it will emit a subtler glow for 10-14 hours. Our rings can be charged slowly throughout the day in sunlight, but within seconds with a UV flashlight.

Q: Is the glow toxic?
A: No. Strontium Aluminate is a main component in our glow. This compound is only hazardous in its powder form due to inhalation. When fused with our rings, the powder form is neutralized and soaked in a bonding agent where it becomes solid.

A few important things to take note while ordering a custom ring from me. One very important thing I ask is to please be patient in receiving your order. Because of the high demand for my art pieces, and this being a one-man operation (by yours truly), I am constantly trying to get ahead of the game while putting the most amount of attention and quality into your rings. All of my rings are handmade at my machine studio and take time. From cutting the material, creating custom molds, finishing and polishing to even the last step of product packaging is yes… you got it… all done by one person, me! I also run three other very successful businesses on top of this and have three children and sometimes I like to see them. So… with this being said here’s how the time-frame currently looks for a ring order.

Typically 2-4 weeks until shipped from the time your order is placed and payment is received, sometimes longer. In some busier times orders can take up to 6 – 8 weeks before your order is shipped. Please understand that there are many variables in what we do as custom ring makers. For example, I may need a rare alloy for your project if it calls for it… I order the alloy and that could take up to a month to receive from my supplier. Situations like this can occur, depending on how customized your order is and what materials I have in stock at that time. I appreciate all efforts of patience from my customers – this makes the process easier.

When ordering you MUST make sure to select your correct ring size! If you are unsure of your ring size, please stop at a local jeweler and have them measure your finger to obtain your correct size.

DO NOT MEASURE YOUR RING SIZE BY TRYING A DIY METHOD YOU FOUND ON GOOGLE, YOUR SIZE WILL MOST LIKELY BE INCORRECT! YOU SHOULD GET SIZED BY A PROFESSIONAL!

I am not responsible for incorrect ring sizes. All sales are final!

ALL REAL HUMAN BONE RINGS SHIP OUT OF NEW JERSEY. I DO NOT SHIP REAL HUMAN BONE RINGS TO NEW YORK, GEORGIA, LOUISIANA, TENNESSEE AND VIRGINIA.  I WILL NOT SHIP HUMAN BONE RINGS INTERNATIONALLY.

Every person is held responsible to know the laws of the land they live in. With that being said it is perfectly legal to possess and to sell human bones in the United States. One of the main sources of confusion on this issue is that prior to 1987, the majority of human bones for sale here and in other countries were prepared in India. In 1987, India stopped its exportation of human bones. Many US news sources phrased it as a ban on the sale of human bones rather than as a ban on exportation from one particular country with no effect on United States laws.

Once India stopped exporting human bones, China took over as the main supplier of human bones to the United States. However, just prior to the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China also stopped exporting human material. No other country has yet stepped up and human material is scarcer than it once was, but a decent number of bones from India and China still remain in the United States and may be freely sold.

A secondary source of confusion is the myriad of laws relating to archaeological resources. Certain material, such as those from Native Americans covered under the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (http://www.cr.nps.gov/nagpra/MANDATES/25USC3001etseq.htm), are illegal to buy or sell and in some cases possess. However, these laws do not apply to most modern human bones from non-Native populations.

In short, there is no law at the U.S. Federal level prohibiting you from having a human bone in your possession. The fact that some people believe there is or believe there should be such a law is irrelevant.

This is not to say that such laws do not exist in other countries, or at the local level. For example, four US states, New York, Georgia, Tennessee and Louisiana all have independent State Laws prohibiting the import or export of human remains across their state lines. While I work hard to remain current, laws are passed worldwide faster that the human mind can track or comprehend, so you must be responsible to know your local laws before ordering.

There are NO REFUNDS on any rings purchased, under any circumstances.  If you would like to order a custom, handmade ring from Daniel Rosini, please understand that ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Also, be aware that all rings are made by hand and are considered pieces of art. These are luxury rings so please treat them as such.

If you are purchasing a wooden ring, then understand that they are fragile and need to be treated with care.  Wooden rings also have some maintenance behind them which require reapplying protective sealant and polishing when wear is visible.  I will gladly do maintenance on all my rings for additional fees.
